Silver Icarus necklace & bracelet

The Icarus interchangeable bracelet and necklace is a versatile & impressive piece that can be worn two ways, as a necklace or a bracelet.

With the addition of a detachable chain, each element is individually cut, textured and soldered and constructed to form a fluid tactile piece reminiscent of layers of feathers.

It is made from sterling silver and the bracelet length is 16.5cm (width of the bracelet is 2cm), plus a length of 25cm for the chain to form a necklace with a total length of 41.5cm

This collection by Cara Tonkin is inspired by the tragic myth of Icarus who dared to fly too near to the sun on wings of feathers and wax. This collection uses elegant, overlapping elements that move playfully when worn. Each element is individually cut, textured and soldered and constructed to form a fluid tactile piece reminiscent of layers of feathers.
