Innovative bespoke jewellers in the heart of West Yorkshire
Having a bespoke piece of jewellery made is such a personal journey. It’s so much about expressing your style and personality through the forms that you wear. And it’s about holding your most meaningful treasures and moments of your life close to you. Allowing Element - innovative bespoke jewellers - to create a piece of jewellery exclusively for you, promises to be an experience to treasure.
Element Jewellery has been designing and making jewellery for customers since 2003. Whilst based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, we are delighted to work with customers wherever in the world you’re based.
To start the journey, we need to understand what you’re looking for. Our experienced and talented designers work with you to draw up designs that reflect your personality, desires and lifestyle. We’ll draw inspiration from any images, dreams or ideas you may have. You can even throw your unworn, abandoned or inherited or most precious treasures into the mix. We love to look at your Element Jewellery Moodboard or Pintrest boards - everything helps at this stage to get the ideas flowing.
Perfecting the design
Initial hand sketches that capture a concept will be transformed with skill into elegant computer drawings, which we will present to you for feedback. Once you’re happy with a design and the finer detail, we’ll complete a quotation for you, working within your budget.
We will ask you to approve a final design that will include any changes you’ve asked us to make. And, if you like we can arrange for a 3D printed model to be made that you can try on to get a sense of how your final piece of jewellery will be.
Crafting a unique piece of bespoke jewellery
The journey continues with our selected bespoke jeweller, who with skill, flair and precision will hand-forge or cast your jewellery using either new, or your own precious metal. Your gemstones and diamonds will be precisely set with a steady hand that comes with years of experience. The magic happens at the bench, where an array of traditional and contemporary tools and techniques are used.
You’ll need to wait patiently for your jewellery to be carefully hand-finished ready for hallmarking. Only when your piece of bespoke jewellery has been closely inspected and approved by ourselves and the master jeweller would we contact you to advise it is ready for your collection.
An idea of costs and timescales
A beautiful combination of alchemy, technology, design and craft taking place over a period of around four to six weeks come together to make a piece of bespoke jewellery completely unique. During this time, you will receive second-to-none customer service, with regular updates (suited to you) about the progress of your bespoke jewellery.
From the initial design concepts, we’ll be able to give you an estimate of the likely cost involving every stage of design, casting, setting and finishing and hallmarking. We will be able to advise upfront if something is achievable within your budget, before we set to work on gathering ideas and design.
A recent commission in 18ct Fairtrade white gold, channel set with our customers own three diamonds cost £2000.
We don’t ask for any upfront fees, however to commence the creation of your jewellery, we would ask for a 25% deposit, with the balance being payable on collection.
