We’re constantly on the look out for, or designing the next ultimate silver ring design.
Wearing silver rings
Wearing silver rings is pretty symbolic too; there are plenty of reasons to wear sterling silver rings. Sometimes the silver ring you wear is an expression of style, a way of presenting a visual of who you are to other people, just like the clothes you wear or the hairstyle you choose. Apologies for sounding so cliché, but we really believe that the more you wear your sterling silver ring, the more it’ll become part of you. And all of those little nicks, and dents your silver ring develops are just like those tears and rips in your favourite pair of 501s.
Symbolism of silver rings
The circle of a sterling silver ring has very strong connotations; magical and spiritual; endless and timeless, suggesting a repetitive unbroken wholeness in time and space. A silver ring is formed with a circle of silver. Whatever your take on the symbolism of wearing silver rings is, you can’t escape the fact that there are some pretty amazing shapes and sizes to ponder over. Designers and craftsmen have shaped silver rings for centuries to pleasure the dandies of the world.
And if you ask the team at Element Jewellery what their all time favourite silver rings are, we change our mind from day to day, as our sterling silver rings become a part of us and who we are. Some of our customers like to change their silver rings from day to day and others couldn’t bear to part with the silver ring their first love bought them aged 15!
Although you can wear a chunky silver ring everyday without much concern, we do advise our customers to take more care with sterling silver rings that have gemstones set into the silver ring shank. This is because silver rings are made with sterling silver which is a soft precious metal, so you need to take more care with a silver ring than with gold or platinum rings. Silver rings set with gemstones are sometimes called dress silver rings. So I’m afraid to say that if you are wearing your all time favourite silver ring and you’re required to do the washing up or a spot of DIY, you’ll simply have to refrain, stating "I couldn’t possibly do that as I’m wearing my treasured sterling silver ring from Element Jewellery!" We only offer this somewhat strict advice so that your relationship with your chosen silver ring can last as long as possible.
