James Newman
Working from his design studios in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter since 1999, James brings a fresh approach to his work, exploring juxtaposition of textures, sculptural forms and the use of tactile elements.
His contemporary jewellery collections are robust in their texture and are balanced by fine detailing and exquisite craftsmanship.
His clean lines and simple design amount to evocative contemporary jewellery collections including diamond engagement and eternity rings to lust for.
James Newman is proud to be a member of the British Jewellers Association and has represented contemporary jewellery designers on the national committee since he was elected in 2004.

Protect
Get those marigolds out! Detergents are harmful to jewellery so it’s best to de-bling before you start those household chores.
Skinny dipping is the best advice when it comes to jewellery. Chlorine, salt water and fresh water will damage your precious gems and metals.
As you pop on your climbing boots, please pop off your rocks! It simply isn’t advisable to wear your precious metals and gemstones for outdoor pursuits or indoor DIY.
We know you love glamour, but please complete your beauty regime before you adorn yourself in Element jewellery. Perfume, hair spray, make-up and other beautifying products simply don’t mix well with jewellery. They can tarnish silver or cause gold, platinum and gemstones to lose their lustre.
Store
Jewellery likes to be wrapped up safely in a soft cloth or acid-free tissue, and on its own, so that it doesn’t become scratched or damaged by other pieces.
When it’s ‘off duty’ Element jewellery loves to be cosseted in one of our very own stylish black boxes, or eco-friendly felt pouches.
Clean
We all look beautiful after a good old wash and brush up and jewellery is no exception! A good professional clean by a jeweller will help you and your precious baubles stay together longer.
Regular home cleaning will also keep your rocks sparkling; a very mild soap and water solution along with a soft brush is the best option for most jewellery. After a sumptuous bath carefully dry your precious jewels with a lint free towel or cloth.
